Your investment begins the moment we meet to discuss your plans and wishes. Every birth session is covered from my arrival during active labor until your little one has arrived earthside.

I will be there to capture the entirety of your birth experience according to your wishes from beginning to end, no matter the time it takes for your little one to arrive - I will snag every detail!
TIME
Birth is unpredictable. With due-dates being so variable with babies, I commit to being on call the weeks leading up to and potentially after your babies expected date of arrival - basically, I will be waiting for that phone call that it's go-time.
The implications of being on call mean that my bags are packed and ready to go; my batteries are charged and my memory cards are cleared and ready to store as many photos as I can get exclusively for you. Day or night, my phone is charged and I am on high-alert. I am prepared to be with you as long as you wish whether your baby arrives right away or days later.
Being on call also means that my life is on hold during a 5-6 week window. This means having childcare ready to go. Taking every effort to remain healthy. Skipping vacations to remain within a reasonable distance from the location of your delivery. Potentially missing holidays, birthdays, dance recitals. And simply time away from my family.
24/7 AVAILABILITY
Communication is absolutely key when it comes to everything surrounding your birth story. Every birth is different as are the needs of every Momma and her baby.
You will have access to contact me with updates, for emergencies, to discuss any thoughts or inspirations you may have at whim - and even if you simply need to talk.
I am more than just the woman with the camera - I am here to support you and your needs on your passage into motherhood and beyond.
COST OF EQUIPMENT & DOING BUSINESS
Photography is my passion and has become my primary job. I want to provide this service for as many Momma's as possible, which means I have to maintain my equipment and cover the costs of doing business.
This means limiting the births I take on every month so that I can devote myself completely to you. Updating and covering subscriptions fees to edit and deliver hi-quality images and products. The purchase and maintenance of my camera, my lenses, batteries, memory cards, internet, marketing, taxes (yuck).
All of this is ok with me - because I absolutely love what I do. It means charging enough to make an income that provides for my family and contributes to our bills.
The Experience
I endeavor to provide a novel experience - one in which you rarely notice the camera is present. I'm always looking for the most unique angle, the most candid moments that capture the individualness that expounds each instant of who you are in each snapshot so that years from the birth of your child - or your session - you can relive the moments in which we created your experience.
